My Dad has been in a transitional unit since last Thursday.

He is very weak. His kidneys and heart are failing now.

My Mom contacted me at 3:16 am today. This is completely out of character for her. My parents have always turned off the phones’ ringer at 10 pm. No exceptions, even when my girls were born.

Dad is back in the hospital. Yesterday we were making plans for his move to a nursing home. Today he is dying.

The visiting hours are 8 am to 8 pm.

I am laying awake in bed.
